Toronto Board Meeting 2025 Recap
On Saturday, September 13th, 2025, hundreds of riders from across Ontario, neighboring provinces, and even the U.S. came together for one of the most anticipated events of the year—the Toronto Board Meeting.
What started over 20 years ago as a playful social experiment has grown into a legendary tradition. Riders gather in shirts and ties (or whatever they please) for a massive city cruise that’s about more than just longboarding—it’s about friendship, stoke, and community.
Gathering at David A. Balfour Park
The day began at David A. Balfour Park, the traditional meeting point. Friends reconnected, newcomers were welcomed, and everyone geared up for the ride. The buzz in the air was undeniable—boards clacked, ties flapped, and stoke levels were high.
At around 4:20 PM, the crowd rolled out, pouring onto St. Clair Avenue and heading west. With quick pauses at major intersections to let riders regroup, the mass of longboarders slowly built momentum, drawing curious looks (and plenty of camera snaps) from bystanders.
The Hill Bomb
Then came the legendary moment—the Hill Bomb down Avenue Road.
With the lights timed, the crowd poured south on freshly paved asphalt, diving into a wide sloped descent. Some riders bombed at full speed, while others chose to carve, foot brake, or even walk. The result? Pure adrenaline, smiles, and a few inevitable wipeouts (thankfully, nothing serious).
Stops Along the Way
Queen’s Park – Riders circled the iconic horse statue, posed for photos, and took the first big breather of the day.
Nathan Phillips Square / City Hall – Another quick stop where boards lined the plaza and riders caught their breath under the downtown skyline.
Queen Street to Trinity Bellwoods Park – As the sun began to set, the ride flowed westward. The light softened, the mood mellowed, and the excitement built for the final destination.
The Final Stop: Trinity Bellwoods
The ride wrapped up at Trinity Bellwoods Park, where riders gathered in the Dog Bowl. Some rolled straight down the grassy hill, others sat and soaked in the golden-hour glow. It was the perfect ending—smiles, laughter, and a shared sense of accomplishment.
